A concrete sink is sealed like a worktop. The seal is rated stain resistant to most household chemicals and food, and sinks get extra coats of it.
That is a rating, not a result. We have not run a wine, lemon or oil test on a sink and written down what happened. So we will not tell you a sink never stains.
What can we say about the sink?
Here is what we can say. The shop's integrated sink has one bowl, 500 x 400mm and 200mm deep, with drainer grooves cut in. It takes a standard 90mm basket waste, which is not included, and it has no overflow. The seal goes on as a prime coat and two coats, with more round the sink and other wet areas.
How do you look after a sealed sink?
Water beads on the sealed surface. Wipe up wine, lemon juice and oil when you see them, rather than leaving them to dry overnight. A patch that wears can be lightly sanded and recoated in place.
How can you test the seal yourself?
You can check the seal yourself. Every free sample is sealed the same way as a finished piece. Put one by your tap and leave it wet. Spill a little lemon juice on it and look in the morning.
That is the test to trust over our word. The concrete sinks page has the sizes, and you can ask for samples there.
