Why won’t my stove installer fit the hearth?
Stove installers fit stoves, and many would rather not take the hearth on as well.
So we do it: the people who cast your hearth bring it, fit it and answer for it. Your installer then fits the stove on top and signs it off.
What does £1,000 include?
Everything from the first visit to a level hearth, ready for the stove.
Up to this size at 30mm, in any named colour and either finish.
Samples brought to you, and the fireplace measured while we’re there.
Delivered and bedded level on your existing base.
Remade in year one if it fails through our fault.
Quoted on top: bigger or shaped hearths, lifting the old hearth, a new 125mm constructional hearth, and surrounds. Concrete hearths

Cast by us. Fitted by us.

Yes, surrounds and mantel shelves are fitted locally too, and the fitting is quoted with the piece. Cast in the same mix as the hearth, the colours match exactly.
Questions people ask
Does £1,000 include taking out the old hearth?
No, lifting and removing an old hearth is quoted on top, once we’ve seen what it’s bedded on. The £1,000 covers a new hearth up to 900 × 900mm, fitted on your existing base.
What if there’s no constructional hearth?
Some stoves need one and some don’t. A stove tested to keep its hearth under 100°C can stand on a 12mm hearth on its own. Otherwise a 125mm constructional hearth goes underneath, and that’s quoted. Hearth sizes explained
Can the hearth be thinner than 30mm?
For a stove tested to keep its hearth under 100°C, the rules allow down to 12mm. When we measure, you’ll hear what suits your stove and your floor.
Do you fit the stove?
No, a HETAS installer fits the stove and signs the installation off. We fit the hearth before their visit, so it’s set and level when they arrive.
Do you go further than 50 miles?
For the right job, yes, with travel quoted. Beyond that, hearths can be sent supply only across mainland UK, ready for a local fitter.
What does the guarantee cover?
The making and the fitting. If anything we make and fit fails through our fault in the first year, we remake it. From year two to five, we repair it, or remake it if it can’t be repaired. The guarantee
